Employee Spotlight: Dana Huth

Employee Spotlight is a blog series meant to offer an inside look at our company culture and, most importantly, highlight the talented individuals who help make our company special. From accountants and software implementation specialists to operations, marketing, and HR professionals, get to know the people behind Chazin.

Today, we are getting to know Dana, one of our dedicated Controllers. Dana is based out of Indiana and has been with Chazin since 2024. Let’s learn more about her:

1. What’s your role at Chazin?

I serve as a Controller, where I have the privilege of working with a variety of awesome clients as a part of Theresa Pedrotty’s team. I began my Chazin career in December 2024 after gaining valuable experience at a couple of other outsourced accounting firms. I am enjoying being a part of a supportive and dynamic environment with many opportunities.

2. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients. I love that no two days are ever the same, which keeps things exciting! My true passion lies with nonprofit organizations, and I enjoy being a part of the important missions and positive impact that our clients bring to their communities.

3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and traveling. My favorite vacation spot is anywhere on a cruise ship! Last May, we went on our seventh cruise. We also enjoy taking long weekend trips and visiting different restaurants and wineries.

4. What’s your favorite volunteer activity?

Volunteering with The Miracle League of Henry County is something very close to my heart. The Miracle League gives individuals with disabilities, ranging in age from 3 to 103, the opportunity to experience the joy of playing baseball. Volunteers are matched with players as “Buddies,” offering one-on-one support tailored to each athlete’s needs—whether it’s helping them bat, rounding the bases, or helping with a wheelchair. Buddies help ensure that every participant can safely and joyfully take part in America’s favorite pastime.

5. Please share any exciting news or a fun fact about yourself:

Some fun facts about me – first, I come from a large family of eight children. I am #6 in the lineup! I live in the neighborhood where I grew up, just a couple of blocks from my childhood home. My mother continues to live in that five-bedroom home, which is still the go-to gathering place for holidays, where 30 or more of us often come together as we continue making memories.

Next June, my husband and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, with another cruise. We are very proud of our two grown children–our 33-year-old son, who is a partner in a CPA firm, and our 30-year-old daughter who works as a nurse. In addition, we have two grandchildren and one on the way!
