Today, we are getting to know Tracy, one of our talented Senior Accountants. Tracy is based out of Mississippi and has been with Chazin since 2024. Let's learn more about her:
1. What's your role at Chazin?
I am a part-time Senior Accountant. I started in March 2024 on Theresa Pedrotty’s team. However, with Chazin’s continued growth, a new team was born! We have branched off under Theresa with Melissa Selby’s new team, of which I am a proud member!
2. What's the most rewarding part about your job?
Being able to provide my clients with top-notch service, not based on my own accord, but because I have a team of dedicated co-workers and managers who support me every step of the way. Also, the opportunity for personal growth… I have learned so much in the past year including several new software systems, best audit practices, and problem-solving skills on how to present some of the more complicated accounting data into more understandable reports.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In addition to traveling, having family get-togethers, and enjoying lazy afternoons with a good book, I love to ride horses! Some of my best friends and I go camping quite often with our horses and trail ride in different parts of the southeastern states. My daughter also rides and we have made some of our best memories on horseback! She is also a competitive barrel racer (rodeo event) so if we aren’t camping and trail riding, we are chasing cans!
4. What's your favorite volunteer activity?
I love to volunteer with the Special Olympics, especially at our Special Olympics Equine show. The pure joy on the riders’ faces is the best blessing of all.
5. Please share any exciting news or a fun fact about yourself:
We are super excited about our upcoming Alaskan Cruise in June. There are 30 of us going… Me, my daughter, my mom, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends! (My hubby is missing out because he does not fly!) We always have a good time!
