Today, we are getting to know Liza Calderon, our talented Marketing Manager. Liza is based out of Washington State and has been with Chazin & Company since 2020. Let's learn more about her:
1. What's your role at Chazin & Company?
As the Marketing Manager at Chazin & Company, I am responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to increase our brand awareness and generate new business opportunities, with the support of our Marketing and Business Development Team.
2. What's the most rewarding part about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is that I get to put my skills and love for marketing to good use by working for a company that helps nonprofit organizations achieve their goals. I’ve learned so much about the nonprofit sector and, of course, the missions of so many of our clients. As an added plus, I also get to work with an awesome group of people from all over the US in an environment that promotes collaboration.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love reading (fiction with a good plot twist is my favorite kind of book to read), crafting, and baking! I also love to travel and always look forward to visiting new places and trying new foods.
4. What's your favorite volunteer activity?
I have a huge soft spot for animals, so all my volunteering revolves around animal shelters. Whether it is managing their social media accounts to bring awareness and fundraise for resources, helping during adoption events, or assisting in cleaning and feeding animals, I’m always up for helping organizations that care for our furry friends.
5. Please share any exciting news or a fun fact about yourself:
I was born and raised in El Salvador and moved to the US in 2006 to attend college. I recently became a US citizen (and just voted in the US for the first time!) and now enjoy dual citizenship.
