Recommended for Parishes $100K - $500K in revenue size that have staff and/or a volunteer Treasurer that will enter all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions into the accounting system. They will also perform all reconciliations and audit preparation, as well as prepare month-end financial reports for Vestry and Finance Committee review. Chazin & Company staff will review the work quarterly to confirm it is posted accurately and to ensure that nonprofit regulations and best practices are followed, controls are in place, and to provide any necessary guidance and training.
Recommended for Parishes $100K - $500K in revenue size with less than 50 Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions, and no more than three bank accounts to reconcile per quarter. The Parish should have someone on staff and/or a volunteer Treasurer that is able to deposit checks with the bank and pay bills at the Parish. All deposit and payment images are uploaded to the secure portal at Chazin & Company for the Nonprofit Accountant Specialist to post into the accounting file quarterly, reconcile bank accounts, close the quarter, and provide quarterly financial statements for the Finance Committee and Vestry to review.
Recommended for Parishes $500K+ in revenue size and have transaction volume that requires monthly entries and reconciliations. The cost for this service is based on the scope of work assigned, the total number of transactions, number of bank and investment accounts, and complexity of the Parish. Chazin & Company can provide both lower-level and higher-level accounting services as well as CFO services, depending on the Parish’s current staff and needs. The estimated cost is provided to the Parish for consideration after completing a questionnaire and a brief review of the current accounting file. Chazin & Company will prepare a thoughtful proposal based on our knowledge of your Parish.
