The company was formed by Adele Chazin in 2005 and has since grown to a staff of over fifty (50). All accountants are employees of Chazin. We do not outsource any accounting work outside the U.S. Additionally, all members of the Chazin accounting team are Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professionals (CNAP).
Chazin does not use a cookie-cutter approach. We tailor our services for each client. Some clients require full-time placement while others require specific levels of services weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
All work will be performed in an efficient and competent manner. Chazin will respond timely to requests from client staff, leadership, and will manage continuity of work to ensure reliable performance of contracted deliverables. In addition, frequent communication will occur continually throughout the year, including during month-end/year-end close and audit preparation. Chazin delivers superior customer service and requires our accountants to respond to client requests within 24 business hours. Your Chazin team will be available to you every working day of the year. This allows us to provide you with a “down the hall” feel that our clients value.

A detailed proposal will be prepared after the completion of a questionnaire and a review of the organization’s current accounting file.

Designed for nonprofits with $1M+ in revenue that lack dedicated accounting staff or require comprehensive financial management, this service provides full monthly accounting support, including month-end close and financial statement preparation. The cost is based on the scope of work, transaction volume, number of bank and investment accounts, and overall organizational complexity. Services can be tailored to include both lower-level accounting functions and CFO-level support, depending on the organization's needs. A customized proposal will be developed following an initial consultation and review of the organization’s accounting files.

Recommended for Churches $100K - $500K in revenue size that have staff and/or a volunteer Treasurer that will enter all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions into the accounting system. They will also perform all reconciliations, as well as prepare month-end financial reports for Vestry and Finance Committee review. Chazin staff will review the work quarterly to confirm it is posted accurately and to ensure that nonprofit regulations and best practices are followed, controls are in place, and to provide any necessary guidance and training.
The organization should also appoint a maximum of two people who can serve as points of contact with Chazin to streamline communication.
