Today, we are getting to know Joel, one of our dedicated Onboarding Senior Accountants. Joel is based out of Las Vegas, has over 15 years of nonprofit and accounting experience, and has been with Chazin since 2025.
1. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
In my role, I focus on ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new clients. What I find most rewarding is helping nonprofit organizations navigate the accounting process with ease, so they can dedicate more time and resources to serving their communities with their meaningful work.
2. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places. After moving to Las Vegas within the past year, I’ve had a great time exploring the city, discovering new restaurants, hiking, and visiting nearby destinations.
3. What’s your favorite volunteer activity?
I enjoy giving back by supporting the homeless community, whether through volunteering at a soup kitchen or helping to provide clothing and meals to those in need.
4. Any exciting news or a fun fact about yourself?
The college where I graduated and later worked for 10 years had two country music stars who graduated from it. Tim McGraw had an honorary degree, and Lainey Wilson graduated while I was working there!
