Today, we are getting to know Angela Greek, one of our talented Controllers. Angela is based out of Tennessee and has been with Chazin & Company since 2019. Let's learn more about her:
1. What's your role at Chazin & Company?
I work with our nonprofit clients to provide the full range of accounting services including budget development, grant management, and audit preparation. I also provide ongoing support with process improvement and policy development.
2. What's the most rewarding part about your job?
The most rewarding part of being a nonprofit accountant is being part of mission-driven work and what I see as the “good” being done in the world. The mission of any organization can be better realized and provide the greatest impact when the organization has accurate, reliable financial data, and I am happy to be able to be part of that effort.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family. I have missed all of these during the pandemic!
4. What's your favorite volunteer activity?
My favorite volunteer activity was being a Girl Scout Troop Leader and “Cookie Mom” when my daughter was in elementary and middle school.
5. Please share any exciting news or a fun fact about yourself:
In May 2021 I celebrated my 10-year anniversary as a CPA in TN, and in June 2021 I received a promotion from Senior Accountant to Controller. I am excited about my future at Chazin! Additionally, in January 2022 I will celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary.
